‘C’ is for Clueless

on April 3, 2014

note on a cork board

I was pretty ‘c’lueless when I started blogging to be honest.

I loved that I could write in my own miniscule corner of the world wide web.

I’d never heard of a linky, a blog hop or a badge  .  I had never commented on another blog.  I had never followed or subscribed to a blog.

What on earth is a blog? I asked myself that question one day.  I set mine up and it evolved by firstly a name change, then adding pictures, then links, then regular posts.

I was no longer clueless (or so I liked to think!)  I was up on the lingo, down with the blogging ‘kids’ and blogging along happily.

I still am.

What were you ‘clueless’ about when you started blogging?

  3. I was definitely clueless about blog platforms, blog hops and blog award chains. I have made a ton of mistakes but I’ll keep on trudging on and hope for the best.

  4. I was clueless too. I just knew that a writer I respected suggested starting a blog, so I randomly did it one day. My first post is laughable, and it took a little while for me to work up the courage to join blog hops. I was also nervous about commenting. After all, these people didn’t know me. I didn’t know if my presence would be welcome. It seems silly to me now, but that’s the way I felt in the beginning.

You I was 🙂 I had a vague idea of what I wanted my blog to be about, but didn’t know how and where to get started. I’m still learning how it works, but I won’t let that stop me. Great post! Good luck with the A to Z challenge

I was pretty clueless as well! I just started to blog to chronicle my thoughts, but then I got into the book blogging community and then the writing blogging community and it’s really great.

I had no idea how to publicize my blog. It sat, without comments, for over two years… then I moved to WP and it all clicked. Now I’m having a blast. 🙂
