What does 25/8 mean to you?
To me it means 2 things:
  • That I could do with having an extra hour in each day and an extra day in each week…
  • That my brain never really stops coming up with writing ideas.  Whether it’s ideas for blog posts, short stories, poems… it never really stops ‘brainstorming’!
Let’s go back to the first ‘thing’.  If I lived in a 25/8 world instead of a 24/7 world, what would I do with my extra time?  Like everyone, I wouldn’t have any problem filling it.
But I asked myself this; how about I make the best of the time I’ve got?  How about I just accept that I can’t do everything?  How about I accept that I can’t be everywhere?  How about I just accept that there aren’t enough hours in the day?
How about I just make the best of the time I HAVE got to do ‘stuff’ everyday and stop beating myself up?
How about I just accept that there are 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week?
Don’t you think it’s about time?

Healing while breathing

Give yourself a moment to meditate on this quote.

Now consider that you can feel like you’re taking a well-earned refreshing break by reaching a certain level in your own mind.

It’s called meditation.

I try to do it every day.

It’s a ‘practice’ and I really do feel the benefits if I can set aside 10 minutes or so to do it everyday.

I quieten my mind, make sure I’m sitting comfortably.

I maybe grab a crystal to hold if I feel so inclined.

Then I simply breathe, simply close my eyes, simply focus on my breath.

My mind takes me to a peaceful place.  On a little break.  It’s my 10 minutes break each and every day…
